RAC – Climbing Up the Walls (feat. Liz Anjos)

RAC

To celebrate 25k likes on Facebook, RAC a.k.a. Remix Artist Collective have presented “Climbing Up The Walls” featuring Liz Anjos for a free download.  If you haven’t heard, these dudes have been making their name solely doing remixes and covers for years.  They finally have an original album coming sometime in 2013.  This dark indie remix puts a new spin on a Radiohead track, largely due to the soothing voice of Anjos.  Listen and find the free download link below.

The Game – Hallelujah (feat. Jamie Foxx)

Jesus Piece

The Game is back with a new album, Jesus Piece, set to drop on December 11th.  His last project with Interscope Records, he’s built up the hype immensely, confidently stating it’s the 2012 version of The Chronic and will be the best album of his career.  While not a Christian album, there’s a strong spiritual theme throughout the songs, as evidenced by the album cover.  As The Game says, “It’s not an album that’s strictly about church or nothin’. It’s just a constant battle with religion and street life and hip hop and lyricism and bitches and your wife and your kids and just the struggle.”  Word.

The first single released was “Celebration”, officially released in September, but I’m featuring the leaked track “Hallelujah” with Jamie Foxx.  Definitely displays the religious themes involved in this album.  Love the production on this track and the incorporation of the church choir – reminds me of old Kanye.

Gabriel & Castellon – Oompa Loompa

Say hello to Gabriel & Castellon, products of the Netherlands that recently paired up with Fedde le Grand‘s Flamingo Recordings.  The first single they’ve released under the label is the 2-sided EP sporting the songs “Oompa Loompa” and “Hum”, the former being an incredibly catchy house masterpiece.  It’s certainly closer to the realms of tech/deep house as opposed to progressive, a genre I’ve never been too favorable of.  G&C did well to change my mind.  Grab it on Beatport here.

Michal Menert – Slivers of Light

Michal Menert has announced a new project called ELEMENTS where he’ll release a song over the next months to represent fire, wind, water, and earth.  The first tune represents fire and is called “Slivers of Light”.  It builds up for a while, but I love the guitar rift that he brings in around 1:54.  My only issue was that this song was cut way too short – it had the potential to continue on even further.  It’s available for free here.  Part 2 (Wind) is up next in December.

Michael Woods & Ester Dean – We’ve Only Just Begun (R3hab & ZROQ Remix)

Michael Woods Ester Dean joined forces to create “We’ve Only Just Begun”, but something about the original just didn’t do it for me.  I was giving a few mixes a listen the other day and happened to come across the remix done by R3hab ZROQ.  I was pleasantly surprised and appreciated R3hab appearing on a song where it didn’t sound like he was trying to blow up a speaker on the drop.  Grab it on Beatport here.

Grandtheft – We Run Dis

Grandtheft is the same dude who teamed up with Diplo to remix “Sweet Nothing”, a track I shared last weekend.  He’s back with “We Run Dis”, a bass-fueled trap tune with reggaeton-influenced vocal samples.  Listen and find the free download below.   The link will ask you to like his Facebook page, a small price to pay for quality free music.

Big Boi – In the A (feat. T.I. & Ludacris)

Big Boi plans to release his second solo album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors December 11th.  He gave us the first preview with “Lines” a few weeks ago, and now he’s blessed fans with Atlanta anthem “In the A” featuring fellow ATL natives T.I. Ludacris.  B.o.B., Kid Cudi, and Kelly Rowland will also be featured on the album, but unfortunately, we won’t be hearing from the likes of Andre 3000.  Contractual ties (with Gillette, no doubt) reportedly kept him from contributing to the release.

Cash Cash – Overtime

Sharing gangster rap one day, and indie pop the next.  Diversity is one of the true virtues of this blog.  New Jersey’s electro pop trio Cash Cash dropped “Overtime” on SoundCloud yesterday, the follow up single to The Beat Goes On EP.  No girl will have issues liking this song – if you’re a guy, just admit it’s “catchy”.

Grizmatik – Digital Liberation is Mad Freedom

Psyched to see this song finally out for download!  In case you didn’t know, GRiZ and Gramatik have combined to form Grizmatik, providing us with a little teaser a few weeks ago.  The song is called “Digital Liberation is Mad Freedom”, a play off their recent mixtape releases, Mad Liberation and #digitalfreedom, respectively.  Both styles are so unbelievably unique, you have to be excited about what this duo can do when they’re in the studio together.  Listen and cop the free download below.
