Atlanta’s MUST DIE! released the Sky Child EP today, his debut on Rottun Records. A 21-year-old who’s already released material with well known labels like Ultra, Mad Decent, and Atlantic, MUST DIE! is full of talent and potential and building a name on music that borders between the drum & bass and dubstep genres. The first track, “I’m So Sorry” featuring Natasha Fox on vocals, is a slightly more melodic tune that relies on synth chord progressions on its bridges. The other two, “Sky Child” and “Scorpion Dance”, are much more representative of MUST DIE!’s style. You can listen to all three below and grab the EP on Beatport here.
This song isn’t new by any means, but I’m still getting my feet wet in the trap pool. TNGHT is a duo comprised of Scotland’s Hudson Mohawke & Montreal’s Lunice. They set up this self-titled 5 song EP through their respective labels (Warp & LuckyMe) and “Higher Ground” was the beautiful result. I just watched a couple videos of this song live – check this one from London – and I think it’s time to make moves to see these dudes.
